John Ratcliffe Cousins (1863-12 March 1928) was a barrister and local politician. The son of Edward Ratcliffe Cousins, a surgeon, he was educated at Cambridge and London Universities. Called to the bar in 1887, he was a Moderate Party member of the London County Council elected at a by-election 29 May 1899 and re-elected 1901, representing Camberwell (Dulwich). He stood down from the coounty council at the March 1904 elections. In November 1927 he was injured in a motor accident, dying from his injuries in a nursing home in March of the following year.
