Like the PGM100, the PGM100RE features a basswood body, DiMarzio pickups, an original Edge tremolo bridge and Paul Gilbert's signature painted F-holes. A minor difference is the five piece maple/walnut neck instead of a single piece maple neck. The PGM100 was the first PGM model to be reissued in 2009, the second was the PGM300 reissued as the PGM300RE, which was chosen by voting on the Ibanez website. The PGM100 was discontinued in mid-2010.
