The ICHRG2 features a mahogany body with a set-in maple neck. The neck has a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with abalone block position markers. Components include dual Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups with individual volume and tone controls and a fixed bridge and tailpiece. The IC400 is a somewhat similar model without the Giger graphic. The ICHRG2 was one of the initial products of the collaboration between Ibanez and Giger, along with the Iceman-bodied RGTHRG1. Both models were revealed at the 2005 Winter NAMM show.
