He has worked in advertising and film production. Elder Ochoa was the president of the Honduras San Pedro Sula Mission of the LDS Church from 2004 to 2007. He has also been an area seventy and has been a counselor in the Mexico North Area presidency. Ochoa has also been a branch president, an area public affairs director, and from 1987 to 1995 was the president of the Monterrey Mexico Mitras Stake. Ochoa married Nancy Villareal in the Mexico City Temple. They are the parents of five children and as of 2009 were living in Highland, Utah. He and his wife Nancy oversee humanitarian work in Latin America.
