A Flat Daddy is a life-sized cardboard cut-out of someone absent from home, the idea being to keep him connected to his family while he is away. Flat Daddies came in fashion after the invasion of Irak by the USA when spouses and childs where left alone after their father enlisted into the military. In the early 2000s, hundreds of Flat Daddies have been produced for families in USA.
