Electric Boogaloo is a side project that was created by Jason Harlock shortly after the enormous success of Existence Erasers fifth studio release, Harbinger of Antipathy. As the name may lead one to believe, electric boogaloo are a group who dabble in themes and content far more lighthearted than that of Existence Eraser. Being an oshare kei band, the group utilizes a heavily industrial and unorthodox electronic sound, which jason comments is inspired directly by bands such as Maximum The Hormone, and Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas, fellow bands who were his primary inspirations for forming the side project.
