  • Toyman is a legacy name used by several characters, primarily enemies of Superman in Metropolis. Designing numerous deadly toys as weaponry, he is a sociopathic mechanical genius. His heroic counterpart is a Japanese teenager named Hiro Okamura. He has been involved with the Injustice League, Legion of Doom, Secret Society of Super-Villains and Superman Revenge Squad. There have been several other versions, although it has been implied that some of them were life-like robots created by the original and good enough to fool Superman. There have also been several similar or related characters such as Dollmaker, Toyboy, Toymaker, and Toymaster. Toyman was created by Don Cameron and Ed Dobrotka, first appearing in Action Comics #64 (1943).
  • Toyman (real name Jack Nimball) constantly opposes Batman and Robin. He uses all sorts of toys as his machinations for committing crimes. Little else is known about this version of Toyman, who is based more around the campier Batman villains than the Superman villains of mainstream DC Comics continuity.
  • The Toyman (real name: Winslow Schott) is a Superman villain who has an obsession with toys.
  • The Toyman is a villain of the DC Universe and is primarily an enemy of the superhero Superman. Though there have been many incarnations of the character, a common thread between them all is that they possess a genius intellect for creating all sorts of inventions (most of which are dangerous) and an obsession with toys. One version even briefly became an ally of Superman, building him a robot to fly into space to destroy a meteor heading for Earth.
  • Toyman is a member of the Legion of Doom who uses deadly toys to plague his enemy, Superman, as well as the other members of the Justice League. This jester-like incarnation is believed to be Jack Nimball rather than the more well-known Winslow Schott originator. Toyman's favorite book is Jack and the Beanstalk. __TOC__
  • Winslow P. Schott was only a small boy when he made his first toy, a balsa-wood airplane painted blue and red. Another boy stole the plane, an act that had a profound effect on Winslow and may have ultimately driven him to use toys to rob others. When he grew up, Schott created some of the most amazing toys ever conceived, for which he received widepread acclaim. However, LexCorp's acquisition of Schott's toy company left him jobless and burning for revenge against LexCorp's owner, Lex Luthor.
  • Toyman, also known as Winslow Schott, is one of Superman's enemies. His gimmick is that all his weapons look like toys. The Toyman is also a skilled robotics engineer, having built numerous robots, some of which even stood in for Toyman himself. The second Toyman was a man named Jack Nimball, for a brief period in the 1970s. However, Schott soon killed him and resumed his career as Toyman. Toyman was slightly softer in Lois & Clark, creating Space Rats to destroy Christmas & make a lot of money, although after visiting an orphanage he changed his ways.
  • Toyman, or Winslow Schott, is a Superman villian who uses toy-based or toy-themed devices and gimmicks in his various crimes. At the behest of Oracle, Stephanie investigated Toyman's warehouse to discover he was holding and torturing the Kryptonite Man. She met up with Catwoman who hoped to collect Kryptonite Man for The Penguin. Toyman's robot, who Steph dubbed "Toyboy" snuck up on the two women and overwhelmed them. Stephanie was subdued by multiple miniature robotic superheroes, and Catwoman was tasered by the robot himself. Toyboy dropped the two women into the Gotham river in a crate, leaving them to drown.
  • The Toyman is the name of three comic book supervillains and one adolescent superhero in the DC Comics universe. They mostly appear in Superman stories. The first Toyman appeared in Action Comics #64 (September 1943). His real name is Winslow Schott.
  • Toyman's father, Winslow Schott, was a kindly toymaker, who dreamed of building a magnificent toy factory. Bruno Mannheim approached Schott and offered to finance the factory, which he accepted. However, the factory became the front for a numbers racket. After the racket was exposed, Schott was arrested and imprisoned, while Mannheim was suspected, but never charged with a crime. Schott later died in prison. His young son, Winslow Jr., was left on his own, and spent several years in foster homes.
