The Shelby Cobra 427 (also known as the AC Cobra 427) is a two-seater roadster that was built from 1965 to 1967 with only 31 S/C models crafted in 1965. It was conceived when Carroll Shelby collaborated with AC to create a car powered by a V8 engine. The Cobra Semi-Competition uses a reworked AC Ace chassis in order to handle the amount of torque produced by the 427cu Ford V8 engine as well as wider fenders and a larger radiator opening by Shelby.
