Wily and quick, wererats are uniquely suited to the urban lifestyle, and particularly to thievery, using their dire rat form to get into secure places unseen. • Wily and quick, wererats are uniquely suited to the urban lifestyle, and particularly to thievery, using their dire rat form to get into secure places unseen. While their hybrid form may be initially confused with a nezumi, the truth is that the two races hate each other and will attack each other on sight.
  • They feel good in the company of rats though they do not like much pseudorats. They have an aversion towards werewolves and totally hates werecats and normal cats.
  • Wererats are an uncommon race in the Shining series. There are only a couple in the series.
  • Wererats are monsters in ADOM that are part human and part rat. They are capable of summoning rats and giant rats. This means that they can provide vast supplies of rat corpses, which are useful for taming wild cats and cave lions. This makes them actually quite helpful to come across, considering that being surrounded by hordes of rats is typically not dangerous. Like all rats, they can swim and their melee attacks have a small chance to cause Sickness.
  • Wererats are people affected by lycanthropy, a diseased spread by bites, that transforms them into were-beasts, partly human and partly beast. Wererats had the unfortunate luck of getting the rat variety of the disease. They hide and skulk in the shadows, despised by all, even other lycanthropes, though it isn't clear whether they had that type of personality before their infection, or whether it is a side effect of their rat strain.
  • A wererat is a fictional creature akin to a werewolf, but shapeshifting into the form of a rat instead of a wolf. This type of therianthrope is rare in historical legends, but has become common in modern role playing games and fantasy fiction inspired by them. They are commonly portrayed as sewer-dwelling scavengers and opportunistic thieves.
  • Race: shapechanger Alignment: chaotic good Armor class: 16 Hit points: 5 Attack bonus: +3 Damage: d6/d6/d4 (claw/claw/bite creature weapons) Hit dice (level): 1 Challenge rating: 1/2 Size: medium Damage reduction: 10/+1 Trained skills:(‡) hide (10), listen (8), move silently (9), search (8), spot (8) Feats: darkvision, weapon finesse, weapon proficiency (creature)
  • The Wererat is an enemy fought at Kashuan Keep, the area around Dreadnought, and at the Tropical Island. They always come in groups of two to five, and can inflict Poison with their regular physical attacks. Otherwise, they are not difficult to defeat for players that have leveled up a fair amount before entering the areas these enemies are fought at.

  • As with other werebeasts, eating wererats makes the PC sick. They can still be eaten for satiation in emergencies, though the PC should preferably have potions of healing or curaria mancox herbs on hand.

  • Creatures which change between humanoid form and a large giant rat, they are rumored to have once been fully humanoid, but infected with some disease or curse. They are known to summon hordes of their brethren when attacking, as well as using their long front teeth. They supposedly retain either their long front teeth or their long noses when in humanoid form.
