Attached to the task force under the command of Rear Admiral Kedlis Hetton, she did not take part in the Mandalorian conflict, instead gaining combat experience through that force's patrols on the other side of Republic territory. During the first year of the Jedi Civil War, she participated in the successful diversionary raid against the formerly Republic-occupied Roche asteroid field. While the 23rd Marine Squadron attacked the facilities at Cobalt J-27, the Aurek fighters of her unit surprised and eliminated a half-squadron of Sith interceptors and the heavily-damaged Interdictor-class cruiser that they had been escorting to the repair yard located on that asteroid. After having returned to the task force, Elli reported the results of the raid to Captain Laera Reyolé and Admiral Hetton, who issued commendations to both units.
