Marcvs Avrelivs wanted a joint Cæsarship with his adopted brother but with him still in charge. After 44 years the Parthians had finally managed to regroup and started attacking Mesopotamia. The majority of the Mesopotamian and Armenian legions went on a total rampage in Parthia. Still having the advantage of air and rail. By 920(167) most of the previous Parthian Empire became provinces of Rome, much its vast treasuries having to remain within the province to rebuild and the rest of it divided between the Imperial treasury and the legionaries. This most successful campaign against Rome’s all time eastern rival permeated the Empire with a revived feeling of invincibility and strength, celebrating several Triumphs for the returning generals, but this was hampered by the plagues brought back

| - Marcvs Avrelivs wanted a joint Cæsarship with his adopted brother but with him still in charge. This most successful campaign against Rome’s all time eastern rival permeated the Empire with a revived feeling of invincibility and strength, celebrating several Triumphs for the returning generals, but this was hampered by the plagues brought back. During the consolidation of the new eastern provinces, Aurelius also straightened out the southern Mesopotamian border. Having the Euphrates' full curve as the border was considered to be a disadvantage against Arab raids from the south. Marcus’ remaining 13 years were considered peaceful despite the Germanic incursions, similar to Antoninus’ last years. He died in 933(180). Image:Empire 933(180).png Commodvs was Marcus’ true son and this paternal succession was not habitual of the last many Caesars and this made grumblings. Commodvs was revealed to be worse than Domitian in his running of the Empire, although he was not as cruel. He removed most of the Capitoline Games’ events in favour of lending more viewership to his favourite sport of Gladiators. He still allowed the CG to travel and was always present at each game. He proved so totally inept at running any form of government though that he fired good senators and politicians in favour of bad ones (in the form of yes men and fawners). The treasury was draining at a disparaging rate and only the few good senators remaining showed any concern. He pulled legions from Caucus and Bosporos to put down revolts in Armenia and Dacia; Caucus and Bosporus were lost to barbarian invaders, mainly Ostrogoths, between 939-42(186-9). Mazun's garrisons were devastated by the plague, control of Mazun was abandoned in 943(190).
