GameMaker is a kitchen utensil created by former Arsenal footballer Mark Overmars somewhere in Europe (location kept secret as it is rumoured that Microsoft is trying to get their hands on GameMaker to sell at an exorbitant price and cause even more crashes on thousands of PCs). Several different versions are available: a "pro" version for pirates, a "masturbatory edition" for squirrels, and an all-powerful "staff" version which puts other Game Maker games to shame and causes much begging for an editable version to plagairise on the Game Maker forums.

  • Game Maker is the Game Making software developed by Mark Overmars. It uses object-oriented programming to make it easy to learn how to program. It can use simple Drag and Drop or the more advanced GML coding language. Game maker can be used to make any type of game (and in 6.0 even 3-D). RPGs, 3-D games, and Fighting games use much coding while sidescrollers are a little easier. Strategy/Puzzle games are usually easy, though it depends on how complex the game is.
  • The latest stable release of Game Maker for Windows is version 8 as of December 2009, and version 7 on Mac as of August 11, 2010. Since its initial release in 1999, Game Maker gained many new features, notably 3D graphics support, as well as a significant user base, with YoYo Games providing free hosting for user-created games.
