Feminine Assault was started on May 20th, 2006, as an all girl band. Over the next 6 months the group saw an incredible amount of change beginning with the original drummer and followed, sometime later by a guitarist and another drummer. With the desire to produce quality yet innovative music the “feel” of Feminine Assault was constantly evolving. Elizabeth’s entry into music school prompted further change in the sound and mood of the band. Along the way they played several mixed venues and so it was not long before the permanent members (Elizabeth & Tina) realized they had the potential to musically set themselves apart from their peers.   • Feminine Assault was started on May 20th, 2006, as an all girl band. Over the next 6 months the group saw an incredible amount of change beginning with the original drummer and followed, sometime later by a guitarist and another drummer. With the desire to produce quality yet innovative music the “feel” of Feminine Assault was constantly evolving. Elizabeth’s entry into music school prompted further change in the sound and mood of the band. Along the way they played several mixed venues and so it was not long before the permanent members (Elizabeth & Tina) realized they had the potential to musically set themselves apart from their peers. It was then Elizabeth retreated to her room and immersed herself totally and completely in musical compositions, which incorporated the use of many different instruments and pensive lyrics. The concept was challenging yet workable. Adding Erin’s talents on flute, violin, and harmonica gave Feminine Assault the exceptional “signature sound”, for which they had been searching. A blend of Elizabeth’s broad vocal range from low to rich contralto tones pushed the style into an undeniably original direction. The later addition of Lisa to the mix pushed the sound of the group even further as she added her vocal, keyboard, tambourine, and bongo skills to the group. Emma joined the group most recently and her addition rounded out Feminine Assault’s already maturing and sophisticated sound. Stabilized, energized and musically invigorated, Feminine Assault is looking forward to performing as well as growing in creativity over the upcoming years.
