  • William Harding Anderson (April 1, 1901 – February 23, 1983) was a British hockey player who won a bronze medal with the British National Team at the 1924 Winter Olympics. Anderson was a multi-faceted player - he was a capable defensseman and goaltender. He played in one game as a goalie at the 1924 Olympic tournament. He played for the Cambridge University Ice Hockey Club while attending school there from 1921 to 1924. Anderson served as the captain of the team from 1923-1924.

  • Anderson was brought onto the Friendship is Magic staff through a closed score audition; he was one of five composers who submitted a test score for an animation piece, and he was hired because his test was the most well-received. In an interview, Anderson described his original test piece as "psychedelic folk." Anderson has cited John Williams, James Horner, Danny Elfman, and Hans Zimmer among his musical influences. In summer 2012, Anderson collaborated with brony musician Andrew Stein on a short musical cue for Magical Mystery Cure, but it was cut from the final version of the episode.
