Siden hver nye lansering i et land har det oppstått serverproblemer på7 grunn av spillets fikk rask en popularitet. Spillet har derfor vært mye nede. Mange fra Norge fant også ut måter å laste ned spillet før det offisielt ble lansert i Norge. Spillet er lagt opp til at du må opp av sofaen og ut i frisk luft for å fange pokémon og få dem til å utvikle seg.
