The Galactic Federation Triumvirate, simply called the Triumvirate or the Federation, was a government of the reformed first Galactic Federation Triumvirate, which was established after the Second Imperial Civil War ended in 138 ABY. The New Jedi Order, Empire-in-exile, and Galactic Alliance Remnant were represented by Triumvirs in the first Triumvirate, but they were merged in 141 ABY into one united government. This government lasted in relative peace and stability, until 202 ABY, when the reconstituted Infinite Empire struck the galaxy from Lehon. The Triumvirate took heavy casualties, and lost Coruscant, nearly losing the war itself. However, it managed to overcome difficulties and defeat the Empire, driving the Rakatans back into the Unknown Regions.
