Named for Mervin Sylvester Coover, associate dean of Engineering from 1935 to 1954 and acting dean from 1957 to 1959. Coover Hall was originally constructed between 1948 and 1953 as the Electrical Engineering Building, and was given its current name in 1969.[1] The building is currently undergoing a major expansion and renevation, the first phase of which is scheduled for completion in 2008.[2] Department in Coover Hall: Electrical and Computer Engineering
