Zan is a wind elemental damage technique in Phantasy Star Online 2. Zan costs 18 PP to cast, and fires a single projectile which flies a short distance toward its target, veers to one side, then returns like a boomerang, striking each enemy along its path. Level 1 zan has an 18% chance to inflict mirage status. Increasing levels of zan, up to the maximum level of 15, require higher base T-ATK to learn, deal more damage, and have a higher chance to inflict mirage status, up to 20%.

  • Zan is a wind elemental damage technique in Phantasy Star Online 2. Zan may be charged by holding the button down for a moment before releasing. Charged zan fires two additional projectiles diagonally to the left and right, which deals significantly more damage for the same PP cost. Techtors have a number of passive skills to improve zan, including wind mastery to increase zan's damage, and mirage boost to increase zan's chance of inflicting mirage status. Like all techniques, zan may be set into the weapon palettes for rods, talises, and wands, or into the sub-palettes alongside consumable items and skills. Only characters with force or techtor as their current class or sub-class can use techniques.
