Caranerubis is a large insect resembling a scarab beetle with deep violet plates covering its back, side and the top of its skull. These plates are extremely hard to break and only the sharpest of weapons can make dents in it. The legs and the stomach are far less protective, and the monster is known to curl up when it feels threatened. While in this position, it can roll around and use its bodyweight to crush foes. On top of this, Caranerubis has been seen spraying a gas into the air that can fatally poison hunters and concuss them simultaneously.
