The device was usually featured in the form of a modified Omega Seamaster wristwatch produced by Omega, although several other variants have also appeared inside and outside the official series. Such a device first appeared in the unofficial 1983 James Bond film Never Say Never Again and made its first canonical appearance in 1995's GoldenEye, reappearing in the film Die Another Day (2002). A staple of many James Bond video games, the device has appeared in GoldenEye 007 (1997), James Bond 007 (1998),The World Is Not Enough (2000), Nightfire (2002), From Russia with Love (2005), 007 Legends (2012) and World of Espionage (2015).
