The 1968 National 500 was a Grand National (now Nextel Cup) event held at Lowe's Motor Speedway on October 20, 1968. Charlie Glotzbach led just 92 of the 334 laps, but held off Paul Goldsmith by seven seconds for Glotzbach's first career victory. Eventual season champ David Pearson finished 3rd. Stats
