After the target traveled to Coruscant, the capital planet of the Galactic Republic, several operatives were dispatched to the world to survey his apartment and help the C.A.F.'s leadership decide upon a suitable attack method. After a month of observation, the commanders decided to send a detachment of fifty special forces soldiers to strike Gashkiy's residence and abduct or kill him. The team, disguised as a tourist group, spent a week with further study of Gashkiy's apartment and its surroundings to analyze which tactic was most appropriate and choose escape routes. In a week, they ruled that a sniper attack combined with a direct assault could overpower the target's bodyguards, after which the group would enter the nearby The Works district and hide in a factory building partially refurbished by Centran operatives before leaving the world. Two days after their report and schedule was sent to the Centran high command, the action was approved and the agents were ordered to proceed. A Centran sniper fired at Gashkiy in his apartment and the rest of the group stormed him and his bodyguards when the latter were attempting to evacuate the wounded dealer. The lightfight continued in the plaza in front of the building, joined by Republic law enforcement ten minutes later. Eventually, the Centrans managed to abduct Gashkiy and retreated into the basement of the building, placing thermal detonators and improvised explosive devices along the way. Republic police stopped search for the culprits two weeks later, after which the team and other Centran operatives were returned to the Centrality.
