The cast of A Special Sesame Street Christmas tries to cure their resident "Scrooge", Oscar, by having him look through a "magic Eggnog carton" to see the wonders of a Christmas when he was young. As he looks through the carton, Oscar sees Leslie Uggams dressed up as his nurse, and she's pushing a baby carriage holding a little trash can. She sings "Look How Fast We Forget" to remind him that as a baby he was literally "what Christmas should be" bringing joy to everyone he saw, but he grew up into a grouch and now he brings joy to nobody.
