Geoffrey "Geoff" Robert Pope (born April 1944) is a Liberal Democrat politician. A resident of Twickenham, he first entered politics in 1978 when he contested Twickenham South Ward for the Liberal Party in the elections to Richmond upon Thames London Borough Council. He was not elected, with all three seats in the ward held by the Conservative Party. At the next borough council elections in 1982 he ran as a Liberal-Social Democrat Alliance candidate. He was able to win one of the three seats from the Conservatives. He held the seat (latterly for the Liberal Democrats) at the elections of 1986, 1992, 1996 and 1998.He served as Mayor of Richmond upon Thames in 1989–1990.

At the inaugural election to the London Assembly in 2000, he was Liberal Democrat candidate for the South West constituency, which includes Richmond. He came second in the election, which was won by the Conservative Party candidate, Tony Arbour. In 2005 he became a member of the assembly as a London-wide member under the party list system, filling the vacancy caused by resignation of Lynne Featherstone when she was elected to parliament. Due to a drop in the Liberal Democrat vote at the 2008 assembly election, he lost his seat.
