John David Chabot (born May 18, 1962 in Summerside, Prince Edward Island) is a retired former professional ice hockey player. He is an Algonquin (First Nation) and is very active in First Nations affairs across Canada. After 11 seasons in Europe Chabot retired in 2001. His coaching career has included the QMJHL's Olympiques de Hull, Olympiques de Gatineau,Acadie-Bathurst Titan, and as an assistant coach for the New York Islanders.
