Later, Debbie, Zak and Lisa are left stunned when Cain and Charity announce their plans to tie the knot. Shocked but supportive, the Dingles head to the pub to celebrate. However, as Chas and Carl pass in the street, a jubilant Debbie delights in telling them the news. Initially bemused, the smirk is soon wiped from Carl's face when Debbie reveals that she destroyed the source of all their problems - as she set fire to the cash. Meanwhile, there's an obvious tension between Ryan and Maisie over dinner at Victoria Cottage. Blissfully unaware of the friction, Katie heads out to buy more alcohol, leaving Ryan alone with Maisie. Sensing an opportunity to talk, Maisie plucks up the courage to confront Ryan about the air of anxiety between them, but he denies that there's anything going on, before harshly rejecting her. Hurt, Maisie flees, leaving Ryan totally confused and guiltily torn between two women. Elsewhere, Mark privately wrestles with his feelings as Faye finally tells Ryan about her plans to move on. Shocked by Faye's admission, Ryan immediately places Mark at fault but Faye lies that she just needs to get on with her own life. Later, as they discuss their future together, Mark becomes a little dismissive.
