Arcadius I Augustus (Iberian: Flavius Arcadius Augustus; Greek: Φλάβιος Αρκάδιος Αύγουστος; 15 March 436- 4 June 4) often surnamed Arcadius the Calligrapher was Eastern Iberian Emperor from 448 to 488. His forty year reign is most known for his promulgation of the Arcadian Law code and the construction of the Arcadian Walls of Atlantis. He also presided over two major Christological controversies plaguing the Diadochian orthodox church.
