Like its sister tank the TT-36, the TT-9 was mounted on a repulsorlift base, at a height of approximately 80 cm above the ground. It could achieve speeds of up to 130 m/ph, despite its armored bulk. For a transport vehicle, the TT-9 was surprisingly well armored and armed. The armor plating had been known to resist even battle-cannon shots, up to a point. The turret was armed with four L-760 MAWs linked together, creating a storm of fire.
