This is the 1930-31 season of the Ontario Professional Hockey League: This league had been the Canadian Professional Hockey League the previous season. All the cities except Guelph had artificial ice arenas. It was a third level league behind the National Hockey League and the second-level Internaional Hockey League and Canadian American Hockey League. The league folded at the end of the season. Niagara Falls and Stratford both joined the Ontario Hockey Association's (OHA) Senior League in the following season. Kitchener already had an OHA senior team in 1930-31.
