The were a class of destroyers of the Imperial Japanese Navy. They were all completed from 1941 to 1944. The IJN called them from their plan name. The Yūgumo-class destroyers were similar to the preceding Kagerō class. The main differences were a slightly different bridge design and the introduction of a new type of turrets for the main guns which were capable of 75-degree elevations giving better AA capabilities. Despite these improvements, none survived the war.
