The company continues to be operated by the Richardson family and is now run by Carl's sons, Dan and Rick. Care received national accreditation in 1993 from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services certifying that it exceeds the basic standards required for state licensing as an ambulance service. Care provides 24-hour service from Basic Life Support ambulances staffed by two Emergency Medical Technicians. They also provivde Critical Care Transport ambulances staffed by Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's), a licensed Critical Care Transport Nurse (CCTRN), and a Respiratory Care Practitioner if required. Care Ambulance vehicles are white with a pale blue strip running down the length of the vehicle from the hood before angling downward near the rear of the vehicle. Another stripe comes from the rear of the vehicle and angles upward when it encounters the front strip.
