Nonetheless, it had its weaknesses. Due to the emphasis on speed, heavy armor was forgone in its construction, so it could not take much fire from rockets or shells, much less anti-armor missiles; the spindly legs were also vulnerable spots that enemy troops would learn to target; the orientation computer that controlled the movement of the legs also had a tendency to sometimes crash in the middle of a battle, causing the Molot to embarrassingly trip up. For this reason, walker technology for most of the war was restricted to the Molot.
