- The MX4 features a semi-hollow, thin-edged, sculpted maple body bolted to a color-matched painted maple neck with a 29-fret rosewood fingerboard with oval position markers. It has only a single humbucking pickup and a fixed bridge. The lack of a neck pickup and the extra deep cutaway on the lower horn allow access all the way up to the 29th fret. The MX5 is a similar model with a synchronized tremolo bridge. The MX4 was produced only in 1988.
