Dress is gathered in front at shoulders; front and back are also gathered at sides with gathered tunic sections (which may be omitted) arranged across the under arm seams. Short one-piece sleeves may be lengthened with gathered sections which are finished with wristbands and perforated to be slashed up from lower edges. The sash is perforated to be cut away at center-front to form tie-strings, attached to front of dress over tunic and ties at back. Width around lower edge of dress, in size 36, about 1-3/8 yard.
