The Academy of Wireless Arts, Video and Entertainment (AWAVE) is an organization set up in 2007 for honorable recognition of individuals and organizations who have contributed to Mobile Entertainment and mobile communications in some form or another. It is headed by Kip Hartman, and serves primarily as a vehicle for the Wave Awards, an annual awards show. The first Wave Awards show was held in 2008.
