From January's issue 144 through to June's issue 149 the price remained, as it had throughout much of 1988 at one pound 25 pence (£1.25), it rose to one pound 60 pence (£1.60) for the 150th issue, and then returned to £1.25 until issue 153. In November with issue 154 the price rose to one pound 50 pence (£1.50) and remained at that price for the rest of the year.
