Magnus Septim and his Argonian army made his stand here against the Wolf Queen Potema. Magnus took up defensive positions. But, being afraid of Cephorus' reinforcements, Potema assaulted the castle. Despite all the odds Potema's army won the fight, Magnus retreated. It is worth mentioning that during the battle no magic, aside from few fire sparks or acid clouds, were used. This battle is also known as the Battle of Falconstar. While exact location of Kogmensthist Castle is unknown, it is known that there are steep hills to the south and north of the castle, and east of it lies swamp.
