Cuyan Kryam was a Human clone born on Kamino in 30 BBY, as part of the Rebellion On Kamino. He was part of the ARC Troopers that were infused with Mandolorian—specifically Jango Fett—and Echani genetics, which led to his silver-colored eyes and higher reflexes. When the Empire attacked he and his "brothers" had already reached the age of twenty. During the battle his squad managed to break off from Imperial contact before being ambushed by Shadowtroopers, the resulting firefight ended with both group killed off except for Cuyan, who was knocked unconscious from shrapnel from another battle striking him across the head. During the confusion he was shipped to Coruscant by the native Kaminoans, however due to concussive effect of the shrapnel he lost the majority of his memory.

When the Empire attacked he and his "brothers" had already reached the age of twenty. During his time on Coruscant he employed himself as a Mercenary/Bounty Hunter and part-time Mechanist. The skills came naturally to him, though he never recalled how he got into his current status. Many came to him for his services for several years, either as a hired assassin, body guard (but for only brief stints), or to contract him on bounties. One of these arrangements lead him to kill a company of Stormtroopers and to free a small group of rebels 5 BBY, which lead to his imminent capture by Imperial Forces. After his interrogation they released him on the condition that he find ad kill Jedi Knight Hae Jun, whom later became his Jedi Master. They later went on to ravage Empirical targets, help the oppressed, and find out what happened to Cuyan's memory.
