William Sullivan was a Labour Party politician active in the Stepney area. A resident of Shadwell, he was a member of Stepney Borough Council. He was Mayor of Stepney in 1958-59. In March 1962 he was elected to the London County Council at a by-election to fill a casual vacancy in the representation of Stepney. He held the seat until the county council's abolition in 1965.
