It is one of five baronetcies that together form the city of An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine; the others are An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine, Léacheannelochián, Iònnegéadhna and An Iméallean na nCháteair. It is the third largest baronetcy in both area and population size, with 501,220 inhabitants.

| - The Baronetcy of Crannchóiste is a baronetcy in the Rockallic Federal District in Rockall, a member nation of the Seafaring Confederation. It is one of five baronetcies that together form the city of An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine; the others are An Bhá nan Éirith Ghréine, Léacheannelochián, Iònnegéadhna and An Iméallean na nCháteair. It is the third largest baronetcy in both area and population size, with 501,220 inhabitants. Archaelogical excavations have determined that the area that is now the baronetcy of Crannchóiste served as clan estates during the Era of Clans, with a total of nine estates identified so far. This brings initial habitation of the area back to at least 300 BC, though it is suspected that the area was inhabited for a much longer time before that. The baronetcy is dominated by nature: a large grassland park in the northwest, a large hilly forest in the west, a forested coast in the south, and a forested riverside in the east. A majority of roads in Crannchóiste are lanes. The baronetcy is also colloquially called "The Five Hills" in reference to the five hills on which the neighbourhoods of the baronetcy have been built and which have been the historic centres for a number of clan estates. The southeasternmost baronetcy of the city, it is located on a fluvial island, wedged between the Áibh Dhrin in the west, the Áibh Leunne in the east and the Bá nan Éirith Ghréine in the south. The area of the Ar fúd nan Áibhainn neighbourhood of Léacheannelochián is located on land that has historically belonged to the Crannchóiste region, but was ceded to Léacheannelochián in 1989. There is an ongoing movement to see this neighbourhood returned to Crannchóiste. Crannchóiste is mainly a commuter baronetcy. All neighbourhoods are predominantly residential, though many students commute in daily to attend lectures at the University of Rockall. The baronetcy is a popular destination for recreationists and amateur historians, mostly for its nature, abundance of water, idyllic neighbourhood centres, and historic architecture.
