Ron Davies began his acting career in the early 1960s with one of his first television roles being in an October 1962 episode of Z Cars, a programme which he returned to in 1968 with a regular role for a year as PC Roach. He also appeared in The Troubleshooters, The Flaxton Boys and The Gentle Touch. He appeared in Coronation Street from March 1985 to February 1986 as George Wardle, the Baldwin's Casuals' van driver who became a love interest for recently-widowed Ivy Tilsley. Subsequent to the Street he has appeared in Vanity Fair, Holby City, The Bill and Our Friends in the North. He has also worked in Germany and Italy (being conversant with the languages) as well as Spain. Outside of acting roles he also teaches dialects.
