Jim Vandiver (December 13, 1939 – June 18, 2015) was a NASCAR driver from Huntersville, NC. He competed in 85 career Winston Cup Series events, mostly in his familiar #31 Dodge. Vandiver never won, but would earn 5 top-5's and 24 top-10's, bested by a 2nd in the inaugural event at Talladega in 1969. He finished 30th in points in 1975, a career best, before retiring in 1983. Vandiver passed away on June 18, 2015 at the age of 75.
