Marie Galtier (d. 1932) was the wife of Lucien Galtier and the mother of six. A quiet, sensible, and hardworking Quebecois farm woman, she cared little for politics, but supported the establishment of the Republic of Quebec by the United States because US Major Jedediah Quigley gave her house electric power when he built a hospital on her husband's farm.
