Sherrizah is a location cited in the Book of Mormon. In the Book of Moroni, Moroni copies a second letter that his father Mormon has written to him prior to being killed by the Lamanites. In it, he explains the plight of the widows of Sherrizah. After the people fled to a tower, the Lamanites came and killed all the men of the land. They then cruelly forced the women and children to eat their fathers' flesh and little else. As the Lamanites left, they took with them a large amount of the food in the land. Zenephi and his armies then took what little remained. Left with no food, many wandered and died. In his letter, Mormon cites that he can do nothing, for the Lamanites are between him and the people and his army is weak.
