- Peter is a stereotypical obese, blue collar worker. He is mentally retarded and usually says whatever is on his mind, often in the wrong place, and at the wrong time. Peter Griffin is a larger than life caricature of middle America. He is epitomized by complete social ineptitude and an exceptionally low I.Q.. He has no personal identity of his own and is swept away by the whims of whatever comes to mind, be it patriotism, racism, anti-racism, homosexuality, family values, etc. His character is a dig on how debase American society has become.
- The Griffin Family, or the Griffins, are the main protagonists of Family Guy. In the first few seasons, they are a normal and good family, some seasons later, they becomes anti-heroes, committing bad deeds, but later, they returns a heroic family. In fact, in the modern seasons, the Griffin family brought out the best side of themself, becoming good, especially Lois, which has proved more good, wise and tender.
- The Griffin Family, or the Griffins, they are an anti-heroic family from TV Series Family Guy. While in the early seasons very few family members showed villainous traits, as the show later changed into a dark comedy sitcom, in recent seasons is very evident that any family member can cause problems, or go beyond a simple jerk. It has proven to be a dysfunctional family (even more dysfunctional than The Simpsons, as best seen in "Seahorse Seashell Party"), many family members have murdered or caused the death of many people, among other things. The only members to be good people are Chris Griffin, Meg Griffin and recently also Stewie Griffin after his redemption. However, Peter Griffin, Lois Griffin and Brian Griffin are considerably bad people and sometimes also anti-heroes.
