Ruth Holden (died 1st December 2001 in Manchester) played the ill-fated Vera Lomax, daughter of the formidable Ena Sharples, irregularly from 1960 to 1967. She also appeared in the Street spin-off Pardon the Expression. Other roles have included recurring characters on How We Used to Live and The Cedar Tree as well as performances in, amongst other programmes, Cracker, All Creatures Great and Small, and Last of the Summer Wine.
