| - Aten is the creator of the universe in ancient Egyptian Mythology, usually regarded as a sun god represented by the sun's disk. His worship (Atenism) was instituted as the basis for the mostly monotheistic — in fact, monistic — religion of Amenhotep IV, who took the name Akhenaten. The worship of Aten seems to have ceased shortly after Akhenaten's death.
- Aten is a powerful Elder and the former King of Danu Talis. He is the master of Niccolò Machiavelli, and is despised by both Elders and and despised Dark Elder, he helped sink Danu Talis and give humans their freedom ten thousand years ago.
- The Aten is the god/embodiment of the sun. The hands of the Aten are stylized rays of the sun. The Aten was the god worshipped by the Pharaoh Akhenaten, and thus became the god of all of Egypt. Until (and after) Akhenaten's reign, Egypt was a nation of many gods. However, during Akhenaten's reign, the Aten was the sole god worshipped, making Egypt a monotheistic country. Ahkenaten's son, Tutankhamun reverted the religion of Egypt back to a polytheistic religion. This article is a stub. You can help WikiPagan by [ expanding it].
- Aten was the supreme god in the Atenist cult of Egyptian mythology. The Pharaoh Amenhotep IV changed his name to Akhenaten and established the worship of the sun disk Aten as supreme deity, discarding the polytheistic pantheon established preceding his rule. His decision made him the enemy of the High Priests and, after his death, the worship of Aten ceased and the ancient pantheon returned.
- Phobos sacrified himself to bring Aten back to life, by using the Sphere that Aten had given him, he realised that the sphere was Aten! With Aten back, Energyx died and Ocula along with The Haunted replaced him and Somerset. But Somerset was still vengeful, he unleashed the power of the mask that possessed him against Aten, turning him into a hedgehog, the mask then disappeared and Entropy cast Somerset into the Void, never to be seen again. He plays for Team Steel in the Fantendo Football League.
- Aten, also named Tutankhamun is the secondary (yet somehow main) protagonist of The Dream Master, a book by Theresa Breslin. Aten is from ancient Egypt yet has somehow got himself wound up in twenty-first century Britain, causing a huge disruption in Time.
- Aten (also Aton, Egyptian jtn) the disk of the sun in ancient Egyptian mythology, and originally an aspect of Ra. He became the focused upon deity of the arguably monolatristic, henotheistic, or even monistic religion of Atenism established by Amenhotep IV, who later took the name Akhenaten in worship and recognition of Aten. In his poem "Great Hymn to the Aten," Akhenaten praises Aten as the creator, and giver of life. Some scholars have speculated that Psalm 104 may have been influenced by this hymn.
