Beracus (formerly Berakar before reaching maturity), was an aged Jiralhanae of the Covenant Loyalists. He played the role of the Main Villain in Halo: Vendetta alongside the nefarious Tir-D-yar. He controlled the Jiralhanae Fleet from his Base The Eye and tried to slow down the Sangheili onslaught for reinforcements. However, upon seeing Tir's supposed death, he through a Spike Grenade at Stel. Before he could react to the scene, he was instantly shot in the head by Doug-103. The Jiralhanae never recovered his body as Stel and his group destroyed The Eye. Three weeks after his death, a shrouded figure approached him, mocking him for his failure. The Shrouded Figure turned out to be Tir-D-yar, who had escaped Stel's onslaught.
