Amon's Champion was a Tal'darim ascendant. During the End War, when Alarak killed Ma'lash and became Highlord, he ordered the Tal'darim to break from Amon and aid the Daelaam in destroying him. A faction of the Tal'darim, however, remained loyal to Amon. The leader of the insurgents became Amon's champion, receiving power from the dark god himself. The insurgents went to Slayn to challenge First Ascendant Ji'nara to Rak'Shir, the champion intending to kill her and take her rank, and in doing so attempt to take control of the Tal'darim from Alarak. Several of Amon's hybrid also aided in the effort.
