Pork Insulatard was a porcine NPH/Isophane insulin made by Novo Nordisk. It is similar to CP Pharma's Hypurin Porcine Isophane, and to the now-defunct Eli Lilly product Iletin II NPH. Like all other isophane/protamine suspended insulins, it is a crystalline suspension with protamine and zinc. After December, 2007, Novo Nordisk longer offered this insulin in the UK; according to the Novo Nordisk Australasia Home Page , it was discontinued there by December, 2006. Those using it now order Hypurin Porcine Isophane from CP Pharma.
